Sean Whiskeman
First Vice President–Development

Sean Whiskeman, First Vice President–Development of Catellus Development Corporation, is responsible for all leasing, marketing and development activities for Catellus’ retail portfolio of shopping centers and development projects throughout the Pacific Region, including the Bay Area and southern California. Mr. Whiskeman rejoined Catellus in 2008 and is based in Oakland, California.
At the merger with ProLogis in 2005, Mr. Whiskeman joined Westrust Ventures, a leading shopping center developer, owner and operator in California, to become Managing Director of Leasing and Marketing. Mr. Whiskeman led the company’s leasing activities and marketing campaigns, which included five major neighborhood, power/lifestyle and mixed-use projects encompassing a total of 1.6 million square feet.
Mr. Whiskeman spent five years working for Catellus Development Corporation, until its merger with ProLogis in 2005. His responsibilities included entitlements, leasing, design, contract negotiation and development for two major Catellus projects in northern California: Pacific Commons in Fremont and Enterprise Landing in Alameda. Mr. Whiskeman also held a leadership role in the planning of the regional retail center at Catellus’ Mueller airport redevelopment project in Austin, Texas.
Mr. Whiskeman holds a bachelor of science degree in regional development from the University of Arizona and is a current member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute.
